Indeed 6-7million jews were killed by Nazis. But what goes on in Palestine is also genocide. No i am not antisemitic but i sure am anti-Zionist. And i am in great company as even Einstein was and if that brain is against it then i know i am on the right track. I was borne in 1967. Heard my parents and their friends talking about the war as they grew up in the aftermath. I have been to Dachau. I know it happened and have no reason to doubt its all as horrific as it was.
But here is the crux… i was in november 1994 in Israel. I have good friends there who took me around to sample both Jewish traditions as well as Arabic food both of which they were proud of. I visited the border to Lebanon and saw the smuggle cave/tunnels that often had been use in the past. Its afterall a tourist attraction.
I saw Jesus birthplace in Nazareth (i have been to Nazareth also in Ethiopia just to be sure…). Mind you he was killed by what i can only consider as Zionists (a true jew would not have done such). Meanwhile the ignorance was big those 2000+ years ago but then i am not sure the generations that live now are an iota better. In 1994 which is now 33 years ago!!!! And i was borne 22 years after ww2. Clearly Palestine was a state of its own right when the jews and Zionists arrived in what was then Palestine. No need to doubt that as even the prime minister in 1994 Yitzhak Rabin a staunch jew was born with Palestinian passport as the rules where in 1922. He later was infact both Palestinian and israeli by the mere fact of having been borne in Jerusalem. Yet the birth certificate says Palestinian due to the situation at the time and the English’s colonial situation of the day. In the 1990s after having seen peace in Ireland we eagerly watched the news on tv. Norway was the setting for serious peace negotiations. Alas between the hated Arafat from PLO and the globally loved Yitzak Rabin. A peace deal that would finally see a palestine and israel living side by side with jerusalem somehow being capital of both. I felt the endless and cheerful hope among all my israeli friends, i knew not even one palestinian in those days, yet i have worked with some excellent colleagues from palestine later on. Often has big passport issues that would make anyone cry or worse be scared for their life. My israeli and jewish friends showed me a great time which i will forever cherish. I still have pictures and great memories. Infact its so jovial that some of my friends bring me down to the peace rally square where Yitzhak Rabin the day after would hold a peace rally. We laughed and concluded it was not a second, minute, hour, year and decade too soon.
They dropped me back to my hotel in Haifa just before midnight and i felt the genuine feeling that there finally would be peace.
I slept well that night full of new impressions and understanding of the significant toll the situation even had taken on my friends, all in their 45- 65s. I made about 5 qsos as 4x/SM7PKK in the car of one the friends. The hope they carried of that now is the time and we are witnessing this miracle.
Next day me and an American colleague was back on board USS WASP to install a satellite tv system that was manufactured effectively by me at my employers factory. I was the only one who had learned the system inside out so was the guy to also install it. Who knew, maybe this would be a break to get bigger order from US Navy. As the ship was on tight schedule we had to work fast and it meant working late hours. At 2132 the captain himself came running to us, two insignificant people on the ship of 4500 soldiers he had command over onboard. He said Yitzak Rabin has been shot and we are on standby for war immediately – our marching orders have been received. -Either you are off the ship in 2 hours or you are part of my ship with no return to land until i have clearance for the same. Whichever way it is i need you guys to get me Fox news and CNN working on this satellite system now as in 5 minutes. I am running blind here and need to see what’s happening. We scrambled as the system wasn’t operational to track a satellite but we could fix the channels on a stationary ship. The captain agreed and an hour later we where off the ship and somehow found a taxi to take us back to the hotel in Haifa town. We had a hotel up on the hills overseeing the bay with the American warships.
As we drove up toward the hotel the taxidriver said i cant go further as his tears was running down his face. There is simply too many people sitting on the road.
We exited and said be safe going home. We had 2km still to get up to find our place.
It is probably the most depressing but also deep reaching walks i have ever done. While we had worked and taken our taxi ride it was shown to be horror on a level never seen in israel. It was not an arab, Palestinian, PLO or any other group who had done the killing. It was a jew. A right wing jew of the kind i know know as Zionists. A young Zionist had killed his own prime Minister…
As we walked back to our hotel it was like a religious walk of Jesus during crucifixion but with Israelis lining the streets. No pavement space or road space was to be found anywhere. People simply sat down and lit as many candles as they could have carried or found in any shop or at home. Everyone just sitting down sobbing and crying. Not loud, just with profound disbelief. Ofcourse we cried the same as we realized that a moment of global hope had been extinguished. One that even now 33 years later haunt me. Imagine 33 years of killings of Israelis and Palestinians is still going on. I have had a whole career as humanitarian and even after i leave the UN system the killing still goes on and on.
And its increasing… since 1967 when i was born over 1million Palestinians have been interned by Israel. Close to 300,000 have been killed. That is a genocide of close to 5% of how many jews were killed by the Nazis. Oncourse as in any genocide the true numbers are not known. But imagine close to 7million jews died in concentration camps. Across the time since ww2, one seventh of that is the amount of Palestinians detained in not very good facilities. 33 years since Yitzhak Rabin was murdered by a Zionist the Zionist government got more violent and indeed so did the Palestinians. As mentioned i am not antisemetic. I have and had great friends who saw the true hope in 1994. It was not to be but i can conclude that the staunch Zionist way is clearly not working ( except for the politicians who try stay out of jail) and meanwhile the world simply neither accept seeing the Palestinians giving birth to more children to show on camera as cannon fodder. 27-years in the humanitarian world helping people in starvation. Oops we dont call it that as it has bad connotation so its called extreme malnutrition.. well the name calling dont change the fact. Its starvation and to know we invent words to not call it such is blasphemy, war is war, genocide is genocide. Its time to exchange old politicians (60plus) who wont live past the next 5-10 years of what i have already seen as a mess of 33 years which was actually created even before that. All which was solvable already in1994! Ai or not, big data or not, human kind is clearly becoming a specie of lower collective IQ that over 2000 plus years actually have not progressed to be wiser where it matters, Learning to appreciate the differences among people, cultures and religion. It simply does not matter what faith we are…”God” help us all for we do not know what we do! Do change “God” to whatever religion you hold as it will help! clearly the politicians worship the devil and not a sane God, prove me wrong!
Time to go back and try what Yitzak Rabin and Arafat was trying to do. In history of time we have never been closer to peace in the middle east at large than in 1994 and i could be quoted probably 2000 year from now unless there is a fundamental change in mentality among politicians, not necessarily among the people themselves….Let there be hope as this is madness of the highest order.
