The Skipper

A true globetrotter, the Skipper’s love for adventure began at 21 with his first backpacking trip around the world in 1988. His passion for exploration extended into Ham Radio DX-peditions in the early 1990s, during which he also organized and crewed sailing trips across the Pacific. These expeditions took him from Fiji to Kiribati and Banaba, as well as from American Samoa to Tokelau and Kanton Island. Along the way, he crossed both the equator and the dateline, navigating passages lasting up to 10 days.

His formal sailing journey began in 2004 with Laser dinghies. In 2006, he completed the RYA Yachtmaster course, both written and practical, and has been sailing regularly ever since. With a mix of global adventure and technical sailing expertise, the Skipper is well-prepared to lead on the high seas.

Anne is not just a competent crew member but an avid sailor with a flair for documenting adventures. As the team’s unofficial photographer and videographer, she ensures that every moment of life on the ocean is beautifully captured. Her love for speed and excitement comes alive when the boat heels over at least 20 degrees—that’s when she’s happiest at the helm! Her enthusiasm and talent bring both skill and a vibrant energy to every voyage.
